request for Advice about domain name transfer

    I have already bought the domain name and I wanted to know if it would be the best option to transfer it to wordpress and what would happen if I do go ahead with this transfer because I have already paid the other website for 2 years and will I have to make another transaction with WordPress for the transfer?

    Hi there!

    If you have a custom domain registered elsewhere and you purchased one of our paid plans, you can use that domain as your primary address for your WordPress.com site.

    You can either map it – your domain will stay with the current registrar and you’ll need to go to their site to manage anything domain related.

    Or you can transfer the domain to WordPress.com and we’ll be your new registrar. This way you’ll manage everything from one place and you’ll be able to reach support with any domain related-issues :) If the domain has been registered for two years, you probably would start paying for it from the third year, but without knowing the exact domain name, we can’t confirm.
