Request for Assistance with WordPress Website Access Recovery
-
Hi Team,
We have an old WordPress website that was registered under the name of Chris Kopp. The registered email was used (email visible only to moderators and staff) or (email visible only to moderators and staff). We’ve attempted to log in and manage this website through the WordPress portal, but it doesn’t appear as a managed site. We’re interested in finding out if there is a way to discover the associated email address or login credentials, and if possible, attempt to recover access to this site. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi there,
I checked your website, and it appears that your site is not hosted with us at WordPress.com. It’s actually hosted by OVH. To get further help, you’ll need to reach out to OVH’s support team.
Given the issue you’ve faced, I’d like to suggest considering a move to WordPress.com. We take care of security and maintenance tasks for you, allowing you to put your focus on what truly matters – creating content for your website. The good news is, we’ve built a tool to make the migration process a breeze. Check out our easy migration guide here: https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-using-move-to-wordpress-com/
If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to let me know. We’re here to help.

Hi fstat,
Thank you for your response. The website was setup in WordPress, and our goal is to access the backend in order to update its content. In this scenario, should I reach out to OVH’s support team for assistance? Thanks for your help!

Hey there,
Yeah, in this case, you would need to reach out to OVH directly. They are using the self-hosted or .org version of WordPress which is separate from WordPress.com. Because of this, we have no access to the server or website information and would not be able to connect you to the server or site backend. Here is some additional information on this:
