Request for Immediate Assistance in Domain Transfer and Release of Lock

    Dear [Support Team/Recipient’s Name],

I am writing to express my urgent need for assistance in transferring my website to a different hosting provider. As a long-time customer, I have become increasingly dissatisfied with the services provided by GoDaddy, and I believe it is in my best interest to seek a more suitable hosting solution.

I have attempted to initiate this transfer process in the past, but unfortunately, I encountered roadblocks imposed by your organization. These obstacles have been detrimental to my business operations and have caused unnecessary delays. I must emphasize that it is essential for my website’s future success that I proceed with the transfer as soon as possible.

I kindly request that you promptly remove any existing locks on my domain to facilitate a smooth transition. Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could provide clear guidance on the required steps to ensure a successful transfer. Your swift and efficient cooperation in this matter would be highly appreciated.

Thank you for your attention and understanding. I look forward to a prompt resolution.

    Sincerely,
    Glenn Daniels

  • Hi Glenn –

Thanks for getting in touch. Let’s take a closer look at this together so we can get your project moving forward once again.

I’m also a small business owner, and can appreciate how important it is to get your site straightened out once again.

When I look for touchstonepublishers.com in our system I do find it, but it’s not connected to the account you’re using here. I’ve sent an email to the the email address you need to sign in with to access that account.

If the email doesn’t find you, then locate that account and get signed in correctly you will want to add the payment details on https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ or use them on the account recovery process. https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/

Getting in to the correct account is our first step.

Next, we can tackle the domain transfer and registration. I don’t see any errors with the registration on our end. When I go back and reread your post, it’s not clear to me if you are trying to move this registration on to WordPress.com where you plan to host your site going forward, or if you’re trying to move that domain registration elsewhere. Please clarify if possible. Thanks.

It’s true that running your own WordPress installation through a host like GoDaddy is much more intensive and hands on. On WordPress.com our team offers a managed hosting environment. This means that we handle all the back end details of the site. Things like back ups, updates, security, spam, your domain connection, seo, ssl, mobile optimization, top notch hosting specs, and live chat support for sorting out any errors or bugs that pop up along the way. When you run a stand alone WordPress installation software, on a separate host, then all of those details fall on to you – so instead of being able to focus on content and growing your business, you spend a ton of time and frustration trying to manage these back end details.
