request for permanent deletion of a site

I have requested to delete the entirety of my personal blog named: iamleoaguinaldo.wordpess.com and i was sent a link through email to confirm that i wanted to have the action taken permanently. however, when i clicked on the link provided by WP, it says that it expired and that I have to contact Support. I want it to be deleted permanently as soon as possible. Why did you have to send a link that expires when it’s being clicked on? i am frustrated that i have to do additional actions of contacting you instead of doing all the actions at my end.
Please delete my blog site permanently.

I’d be happy to assist you with deleting your blog.
Before I do so, I’d like to confirm that you understand that deleting a blog is permanent, and you will no longer have access to any of the content or be able to re-use the blog address in the future.
If you prefer, I can empty the blog so you can start over using the same blog address. If you’re unsure if you want to permanently delete the blog, you can also set it to private in your Reading Settings, so no one else can view the site.
