I upgraded to premium subscription for one month but discovered that I cannot have a custom domain until I pay for the full year subscription. I tried to upgrade to the full year but ended up renewing the monthly subscription for another month. Now I tried to cancel the order entirely but in the process I saw an option to subscribe for a lower package. I chose the option and it still renewed for one month. That was when I decided to cancel the order. But I am yet to receive the refund for the first subscription. I still want to subscribe to the ‘personal plan’ for a full one year subscription, but I no longer have enough money to do so. So until the entire money is refunded, I will not be able to upgrade. Please can you help me correct these blunders so I can launch my site.

You can still register a custom domain while on a monthly plan, but it is not included in the price, meaning you would have to pay for the domain registration separately. With the annual plan, the domain registration is free during the first year.
As for the refunds, there are currently 3 refunds on your account: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing.
Two of them were processed as reversals.
This means the refund was issued before the original charge settled with the bank, so the original charge should have simply disappeared from your bank statement without a refund being issued.
Please check your statement to see if the original issue is still there, and in case of doubts, reach out to your bank for more details.The last refund was just issued by me, so it’s still in process.

thanks for replying. I have seen the refund on my bank account’ s ledger, but i still cannot withdraw the money. I guess it’s from my bank.
However, I was able to raise funds from somewhere else and I have tried to upgrade, but I am getting this error message: The transaction was declined. Try another card.
Even though I have enough money on my account. What could be the reason for this?

It sounds like the transaction is on Hold with the bank. This is common if you cancel a charge before it has completed. It usually takes a few business days for the funds to be released in that case – your bank will be able to give you more information on their specific policy in this regard.
As for the declined charges, our system just shows it is being declined by your bank, so please contact them directly to ask about that as well.
