Request for simple explanation on how to upload audio file.

I want to upload a CD from my hard drive to my blog. I have used alot of the wordpress features in my blog for the last six months. I’ve read through the forums, but I don’t understand the explanations about how to upload audio. The explanations seem to assume that readers understand multiple technical terms, which some of us don’t. “Copy code to address bar.” Well I know how to copy code, and I know what address bar usually refers to. But how and why do I copy code to it?–These kinds of assumptions make the explanations little more than gibberish.
Could someone please just post a reply, or better yet, e-mail me at (email visible only to moderators and staff), and say:
Step one–
Step two–
Step three–Tell me if I need to “install an audio player,” first and so on. I’m using windows media player now.

Not a chance. We just went through a whole mess about copyright. Please go read that thread.
If you want to do it anyway, here‘s the FAQ on uploading files with images. (This is linked to in the FAQ at the head of these forums) and here‘s how to use the file once you get it up there.
Just remember though that you’be announced to the entire wordpress site as well as staff that you’re copying CDs.

It seems fine to me to copy the CD’s to my site from my hard drive, since I created the CD’s myself.
