Request for Support doc update/clarification
-
With reference to this just now closed forum thread https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/google-apps-login-email-not-received?replies=6
It would be very helpful to make the distinction clearer between the two processes of adding email through Google Apps.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-email/add-email-through-google-apps/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-email/adding-google-apps-to-your-site/
Thanks for listening.

Just FYI, for now, Google apps is available either as a purchase through us during domain registration, or as an add-on later, purchased directly through Google. People aren’t able to purchase it through us after the domain is registered.
That may change at some point, but for now that’s why we have two articles. I’ll see if I can find a good way to differentiate them.

Take a look and let me know if those are clear. I don’t want to change the permalinks, but I did modify the titles a bit and cross-linked the docs. Does that help?
-
@supernovia-Thanks! Can’t look closely right now, but the permalink seems to have changed for this one:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-google-apps-to-your-site/
Don’t know if that was intentional.
Will look more fully as soon as I can.

@supernovia – The title and intro to each support doc makes it much clearer now. Thanks!
Before you close this thread :) , perhaps another forum volunteer can voice her or his opinion as well.

@justjennifer @timethief — So . . .
That may change at some point
We were able to change that just today. We’ll be updating both docs with new screenshots and what not, but one will essentially be “buying Google Apps here” and the other will be about configuring a domain for an existing account.

Good work. That will make it clear. Thanks so much for doing this updating.
