Request help and suggestion: Whitelist comments?
-
Hi, I’m using wordpress.com.
I have readers whose comments are moved to spam folder even when they are legitimate comments and don’t “qualify” for the blacklist/moderation options. So each time I have to check the spam comments, unspam his/her comments, then Approve them.
Are there any plans to give us the option to white-list these readers? For example, if their email is entered in the whitelist, their comments get approved automatically?
Otherwise, is there anything I can do to prevent the comments from being labelled as spam? I searched the forum and faq and don’t seem to find any answers.
Please advise. Thanks in advance!

Un-spam the comment. That works like a whitelist as far as your spam folder is concerned. Usually you only have to do that once. Occasionally it takes more than one.

Hi tellyworth, thanks for your reply. I’ve always had to unspam one particular reader and the data never seems to stick. Her replies always get filtered into spam no matter how many times I’ve unspammed them, that’s why I’m hoping there’ll be plans to develop a manual white-listing functionality, so that it will safeguard against this.
In the meantime, I’ll continue to monitor the spam folder for wrongly filtered comments. Thanks again. I do appreciate it if there are any new updates with regards to white-listing :)
