Request Help Getting List of Sites Back into Alphabetical Order

  PROBLEM:

  My list of WordPress.com websites now appears in a JUMBLED order.

  REQUEST:

  Please get these sites back in ALPHABETICAL ORDER, if possible.

  You can DISCONNECT my WordPress.org ID from my WordPress.com account, if necessary — since I am no longer using those sites at Powweb. (details below)

  BACKGROUND:

  I think this problem BEGAN, when “Mojo Marketing” told me to connect my WordPress.org ID with my WordPress.com ID.

  This happened several years ago, when I was trying to build some WordPress.org sites on Powweb.com

  Those sites have been ABANDONED (so you don’t have to worry about affecting those old WordPress.org sites).

  I can’t remember the My Sites list has ever been in Alphabetical Order. It certainly has nothing to do with your wordpress.org ID as wordpress.org and wordpress.com are completely unrelated to each other.

  @staartmees is right. This has nothing to do with connecting a site to your WordPress.com account. The site list was never in alphabetical order. The sites are ordered based on their creation date. So older ones at the top and newer ones at the bottom.

  At the moment there isn’t a way to re-order them, but I’ll check with our developers and let you know more.

  *THANKS* for looking into this.

  As you can hopefully see from my screen capture, if a person has more than just a few sites like I do — and the order is all JUMBLED UP like mine is — it’s a real STRUGGLE trying to find a particular site.

  FYI: My similarly-long list of Blogger.com sites all appear in alphabetic order. Somehow Blogger has found a way, to put theirs into alphabetical order.

  FYI#2:

  I’m not sure you’re going to find this useful, but:

  I added a screen capture showing part of the list of my Blogger.com sites to the bottom of that same web page, https://test17a.wordpress.com/4-site-order-jumbled/

  — showing how the Blogger sites DO display in ALPHABETIC order — making it much easier to locate a particular site.
