Request my image removed from another WordPress.com website

  • Unknown's avatar

Someone has posted a photo with me in it that I absolutely do not endorse for their website or give them permission to use. They uploaded the photo on their site, and I would like it taken down. The photo is in the right column, under “Undergraduate Research Mentoring” (I am pictured in the middle of three people, and the photo was taken at a CUR conference). Here is the website: http://www.journalofgeoscienceeducation.org/ I anticipate that you will also soon hear from the “real” Journal of Geoscience Education (http://nagt-jge.org/), as this WordPress site has nothing to do with the journal or with geoscience education. Thank you for any help you can provide (I’m sorry that I could not find the contact information for the website owners, or I would have contacted them myself).

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It is not my site that needs the help (sorry – I didn’t read that well in the online form). The site journeysofdrg.org is fine (that’s my site!). It is journalofgeoscienceeducation.org that is the problem.

  • Hi there,

Unfortunately, that site is a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site, and not a site on our WordPress.com network.

I was however able to look up the domain records, and you may wish to contact the registrant for help with this issue.

Sorry we aren’t able to accommodate your request, but I hope this response gives you some useful ideas on how to move forward.

If you have any more questions about this, or anything else, please free to contact me, and I will do my best to help.
