Request: Option for Serbian Cyrillic and Latin Letter Choice … PLEASE!
-
Hello dear Support Team,
We urgently need the ability for users to select between Serbian Cyrillic and Latin letters on our WP. This feature is crucial for accommodating our diverse user base. This feature is essential as not all users are able to read Cyrillic letters. Changing the entire website to Croatian or Bosnian language packs is not a suitable solution to address this issue.
I’ve encountered significant issues with existing plugins for converting Serbian Cyrillic to Latin letters on our platform. Unfortunately, none of them have worked flawlessly, with certain text parts remaining unconverted. As a temporary solution, I’ve attempted manual conversion of the .po files, but this is unsustainable in the long term and not the ideal approach.
Please … help and add Serbian-Latin as a standard language

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and I do acknowledge your concerns. Could you please share the name of the plugin being used and is this the same result with similar plugins? It would also be helpful if you could specify the type of strings that remain untranslated (e.g., links, titles, or others).
I would recommend reaching out to the plugin developers to have them address these issues. This would help avoid adding extra workload to the current Serbian translation team, especially since they have yet to fully translate Core. Additionally, transliteration is a task that can be automated, making this approach a more efficient and preferable solution.
