Request or help finding the right theme.

    Hi..

    I’m having a hard time finding the right theme for my website. and i don’t know much about reprogramming a wordpress theme.

    I’m crossing Norway on skies from south to north 2400km, january/february 2017. And for this i need to set up my domain with a page that simply can handle pictures and video we upload on the way when we stops on hotels. updates our personal logs, weather and small information under way via mobile app, or via 4G directly editing on the page.

    I know this really isn’t a problem, my problem boils down to 2 things.

    1. I want a map on the left side of the screen that’s hooked up to a GPS that tracks our location at any given moment, so that our sponsors and friends, family can follow us from home on our 3 month long journey. Spot Gps

    2. I need a tab on the right side where i can put down images from the different sponsors we have for the expedition, and when clicked gets redirected to the sponsors webpage.

    Can anyone point me in the right direction, or maybe even help me set this up for my domain?

    Any help is really appreciated.

    Before thinking about choosing a theme, I’d suggest you first find out from Spot how it would be possible to embed a dynamic map on your site. The types of code that you’re able to use here on WordPress.com are limited for security reasons, since this is a shared platform. For example, if Spot tells you that they would provide you with an iframe or JavaScript code that you’d need to add to the site, you won’t be able to be hosted here on WordPress.com as those aren’t types of code that we allow here, and you’ll need to go with a self-hosted WordPress site instead, where you won’t have those restrictions.
