Request to cancel WordPress and be refunded

Hello. I was just charged $198 to my bank account because of my premium plan for WordPress. I have not been using WordPress for a while and would like to be refunded the $198 since I no longer use the service anymore. Please get back to me as soon as possible so I can receive my refund.

Hi Jaime,
We offer a full refund on all upgrades if you contact us within 30 days, but in this case it appears that you have also disputed the charge with your bank. When you dispute a charge you are essentially accusing us of fraud, and the payment is frozen pending an investigation. Additionally, your site is locked pending payment of a chargeback fee. If you are willing to cancel the dispute with your bank we might still be able to refund you ourselves. Otherwise you will need to wait for our payment processor to complete their investigation, which could take eight to twelve weeks.
Let us know here once you’ve cancelled the dispute, and we can try to get the refund processed for you.

Okay. I will check with them again. It is possible they haven’t processed my request to pull the dispute back yet, but I will contact them and then reach out to you guys again.

I just checked and the cancellation of the dispute I made with the bank is no longer in process. I repeat, the dispute is no longer active. Please let me know the next steps to be able to retrieve the money I was charged. I need that money back.

I checked with our Billing team and they informed me that even though you canceled the dispute with your bank, it is still showing as pending on our end.
This is because you used your PayPal account to purchase and subsequently renew your plan, but instead of contacting PayPal for the cancelation, you contacted your bank.
To cancel the dispute quicker I suggest reaching out to PayPal at the following numbers:

You should see this refund in about 5-10 business days (if not already), and your refund may appear on your PayPal account and not the credit card itself.If I can help further, please let me know.
