I have just registered the domain name midlandsflyingschool.com with you and wanted to add .au as the school is in Australia…how can I do this please? midlandsflyingschool.com.au? Regards, Rob Easther

Hi Rob,
That would be a completely different domain, so you would have to register that elsewhere as we do not register .com.au domains. Please find an Australian domain registrar where you can register that domain. Once you register that, you can purchase a Domain Mapping to point that domain to your WordPress.com site. You can find more information about that here:
Do you want to keep midlandsflyingschool.com? Please note that this is different from other upgrades and is stated during the purchase process.
Canceling a domain at this time means you completely give up ownership of the domain. There is no guarantee the domain will become available to re-register after cancellation. Once it is canceled it can be purchased by anyone else.
You are welcome to keep your domain with us or transfer your domain to another registrar after 60 days from the date of purchase or registrant contact information change.
If you would like to completely cancel your ownership of the domain name, please reply to confirm.

Many thanks Grace, I have managed to secure an .au domain name so please cancel the midlandsflyingschool.com name. I will sign up with WordPress, the site is already a blog on WordPress.com, and make the new URL the primary. I gather a refund will come through please? Thankyou for your help Grace, regards, Rob

Hi Grace, are you still there! The company we registered the domain name with here in Australia has asked for the following information as at the moment, midlandsflyingschool.com.au goes straight to their company presumably with the expectation we want them to host the site! But we want to stick with WordPress so here’s their request please…
“As discussed, we just need to find out what the WordPress name servers are.
Once we have those name servers, we can connect your domain to the WordPress hosting.If you could please ask your contact at WordPress if these are the correct name servers to use:
ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.com(I’ve just grabbed these details from the WordPress website – the one’s we need may be slightly different)
Also, I forgot to ask on the phone – are you planning on setting up any @midlandsflyingschool.com.au email addresses in the future?
If so, it may affect the way everything is connected (as I don’t believe WordPress host emails).If you’re just going to use the Hotmail/iCloud addresses, then we’ll just need the name servers as mentioned above.”

ns3.wordpress.comYes those nameservers are correct!
As for email, while we don’t provide email hosting, you can get a host elsewhere and add it via this support guide:
