Request to have admin run a update query on my backend mysql database
-
I recently changed my wordpress url and had forwarding on for a little while. Now that forwarding is off, I am noticing that a number of old posts with self-links are effectively broken. Curious if I could get admin to run two update statements on the mysql database behind my blog, one to change all my blog posts and another to change the comments. Would like to change all refereneces of the old url to the new one.
Thanks much!
You guys totally rock!old URL: champaignunit4.wordpress.com

I’m sorry, there isn’t a way for us to change this. The fastest way to do this is by manually editing the post one by one.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

This is a very strange response. While I would argue that it is indeed technically possible for you to accomplish this simple task, I am guessing that you have a policy or some other form of red tape that thus prevents you. Updating each post one by one is by far the slowest approach. :)

It seems there is an outstanding payment issue on your other account. Therefore we are not able to help you. I’ve just contacted you by e-mail to explain more about the situation.
Thank you.
