Request to Re-evaluate WP ULike Plugin Compatibility on WordPress.com
-
Hi WordPress.com team,
I noticed that WP ULike is still listed as a limited/incompatible plugin on WordPress.com (reference: the incompatible plugins list). I completely understand that this limitation was originally added years ago due to concerns about heavy SQL usage and performance impact.
However, over the past years we’ve made major improvements to the plugin’s architecture, query structure, database optimization, and overall performance. These include:
- Fully optimized SQL queries
- Reduced database load
- Better indexing and cleaner schema
- Improved caching and internal APIs
- A more lightweight core with optional modules
As a result, WP ULike no longer suffers from the issues that originally caused the limitation.
I’d really appreciate it if the WordPress.com team could re-evaluate the plugin to see whether this limitation can be removed for users who want to use WP ULike on their WordPress.com sites.
If you need any information, technical details, or performance benchmarks from my side, I’m more than happy to provide them.
Thanks a lot!
