Request to staff: deleting a blog
-
Hello – I would like to delete the domain waterworkshop2013.com (make the content unavailable, and cancel $26 annual charge).
I am unclear how to fully remove the site URL and content, beyond de-activating the auto-renew for the charge. Please advise.
Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Refunds are time limited. WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours. https://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
See here:
Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades
http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/Dashboard > Store > Billing History
http://en.support.wordpress.com/Billing-History/Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
Note that I am tagging this thread for Staff follow-up.

Once the domain mapping is removed, you will be able to delete the underlying .wordpress.com blog by using this guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/Alternatively, to change blog visibility to private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3 . See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

Hi @pabtispharvard,
First, let’s take care of the custom domain. Then, we can work on the content and default URL.
Can you reply back to confirm you no longer want waterworkshop2013.com? Once the domain is removed from your account, it will be returned to the registrar. You will not be able to re-register it elsewhere immediately. Someone else may register it as well. Just reply back to confirm you no longer want this domain, and I’ll refund/remove it for you!

Hello – yes, you are correct that I no longer want waterworkshop2013.com I do not want to re-register it elsewhere and I do not mind is someone else registers it. Refund and removal would be excellent. Can you explain how the refund will work?
Thank you! -
Hi!
I’ve cancelled the domain and fully refunded your recent purchase. The $26 charge should be returned to your original form of payment within 3-5 business days.
