Requested EPP code – how long will it take?

Hello I am looking to transfer my domain – I’ve disabled the domain lock and private registration and have requested my transfer code (EPP code) – I am waiting for it to arrive on my email and was wondering how long it would take to arrive (requested it 24hrs ago) …

It doesn’t typically take that long. Have you checked your spam folders and are you sure that you are checking the correct email address. The EPP code would go to the “admin’ email address associated with the domain registration. If you have changed your WordPress.com associated email address at some point, it is possible for these two email addresses to be different from one another.

thank you for your reply – I think that makes sense – however I’m not sure how I would know if the email addresses are different – I’m basing it on the fact that the email address used to confirm the receipt for last year’s domain mapping payment is the correct email address … presumably that’s the same as the ‘admin’ email address for the domain?
if that’s the case – then no – I haven’t received the EPP code – it’s not in the Spam folder as I check that daily too ..
I’m expecting the EPP code to arrive in my (email visible only to moderators and staff) email address … -
ah _ I’ve just checked the domain account info – it is a different email – but still one that I check daily … no sign of the EPP code :(
