Requesting new fonts
-
The organization I work for has a graphics identity guide that includes the fonts:
Adobe Jenson Pro
Univers Standard
Bickham Script Pro
Palatino
ArialI’m using the Atrium theme and thought about upgrading to the Premium Plan to enable Custom Design, thus having control over fonts. However, none of those fonts are available so the upgrade wouldn’t be worth it. Any chance of adding requested fonts if I upgrade?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thank you for the responses. Yes, I did stumble across those pages. It seems the only thing available at this point after upgrading would be to customize the font using CSS. I was hoping for something quick and easy such as selecting the font, meaning new fonts added.

No there is no free and easy way like you decribe to chnage fonts. All wordpress.com blogs are on the same multiuser blogging platform and share a common architecture. Every blog wearing the same theme is using the same underlying template. We bloggers cannot access and edit that template as any edits would change all blogs wearing the same theme.

If you are into fiddling about with font families, sizes and/or colors on each and every post you make by using the Text editor (HTML editor) then you can change it in the body text in posts and pages. But for changing it in Titles and widget headings you need to purchase an upgrade bundle that contains the custom design upgrade. See here Premium bundle details http://store.wordpress.com/plans/premium/
These are 3 ways to change fonts on WordPress.com blogs.
(1) Changing font families, colors and size in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page by coding into the Text ie. HTML editor. http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/07/11/formatting-text-pt-5/
(2) Changing font colors in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page using the #4 icon (Select text color – change the text color) in Row 2 the Visual editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2
(3) Changing all font families, colors and sizes throughout the whole blog by purchasing an annually renewable Custom Design upgrade and using Typekit Fonts with Staff support.
