Requesting refund from auto renewal
-
I signed up for a domain a year ago, paid the $99, and then canceled the auto renewal on my account. I actually never ended up using the site due to then doing an unexpected international move from Tokyo to Colorado and expecting my first baby. In any case, I noticed today that I was indeed charged for another $99 from auto renewal. I am requesting a refund of this amount, since I know that I canceled the auto renewal and don’t understand why I was charged again. Can someone help me to know how to go about getting a courtesy refund for this amount? Thank you.

Hi,
I will tag this for staff so they can help you with that. Please wait patiently as they get back to you.
If you want to cancel the upgrades yourself and are still within the cancellation period, you can get a refund by cancelling your upgrades here: https://wordpress.com/my-upgrades/
Here’s more info about that:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/refunds/To remove your credit card details so it doesn’t auto-renew anymore, please follow the instructions here:

Hi there,
Sorry about that! I just cancelled and refunded that WordPress.com Premium renewal for you. (Please note it can sometimes take up to 10 business days for refunds to appear in your bank account.) Please let me know if I can do anything more to help!
