Requests to deleted images are slowing my site
-
My WIP website is colinvfx.com and when I run it through http://tools.pingdom.com/ or http://www.webpagetest.org/, in the “waterfall” section I see requests made to images that are taking a lot of time.
The thing is, I deleted these images by connecting to my server with FileZilla and also removed them from my header/pages. I thought that maybe the testing websites were remembering old .jpgs/.htmls but the thing is, I only started trying out webpagetest.org today, after I had supposedly deleted everything.
I’m guessing it has something to do with my caching settings in my .htaccess but I’m not getting any results from modifying that yet. I was hoping someone could lend some advice. Thank you!

The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.
This site is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. You should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/
The forum at WordPress.ORG is not connected to WordPress.COM so you will need to open an account at .ORG if you do not already have one. You may use the same email at WordPress.ORG as you do at WordPress.COM.
For more on the difference: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you are asking for help with a WordPress.COM site then we need a link to that site to give you accurate help.

I’m sorry, I’ll post over on wordpress.org.
Would you prefer I mark this forum as “not resolved” or as “not a support question”? -
