“requests” versus “page requests” = ? unique visitors???
-
OK, this is driving me bunkers… the Word Press Stat page uses different words than other Stat programs… and I cannot figure it out!!!
Example of numbers… “requests”… 3000, than the “page requests”…. 1510
I thought “requests” could be unique visitors, but obviously not… as “page requests” is generally about half that number… would love an explaination of the meanings… THANKS -
The FAQs is a good place to start looking http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/02/09/questions-about-stats/

Contact staff on Monday for a clarification http://wordpress.com/contact-support/
Wordress does not provide stats for unique visitors but you can receive more information with a free third party statsmeter http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/07/28/can-i-have-a-statcounter-on-my-blog/ -
Speculation, but would requests not be all requests for the front page of the blog as well as individual posts, and page requests be requests for specific posts only?

Thank you… I will contact the office tomorrow… I thought “request”would be each request… but then… “page request”?… OK… enough!!!

Well… Word Press will no answer because I only use their software… so the question remains! Aren’t you curious yourself when you see the stats…
“request”… versus “page request”?
Maybe… someone here that HAS a word press blog could ask the question and post it here?…. please…
Thanks…

We don’t have those stats. We have different stats, because we’re hosted by WordPress.com. Since you’re not, why don’t you just install yet another analysis program like Google Analytics.
