Require some help from more experienced WordPress folk

    Hello,

We have a website that is set up and running fine. We create new pages as required as a sort of ‘meeting room’, using a template as a basis. However, this can be a little laborious.

I would like to be able to have users create their own pages, by entering a few details on a form from the webpage. The 3 elements on the form would then be used, with the template, to populate the new page.

However, I do not have much experience with word press. My default option would have been to use javascript to grab elements of the form and maybe populate a new webpage. How would I do this with WordPress? It looks as though I would need both some custom javascript as well as a custom WP plugin.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please? I’m happy to look into building the custom scripts above, I just want to make sure I’m heading in the right direction.

    I appreciate your help :)

  • Hi there,

It looks like you’re in the wrong forum. It appears that you’re using the open-source WordPress software and therefore you need to seek help at these forums:

These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the WordPress software you can read this document:

I apologise, I had it the wrong way around. Thank you .
