Required Upgrade?

  I’ve been a wordpress user for years, and have been utilizing a 3rd party domain (mapped to my site). I recently realized that my domain mapping has been stopped and now they’re asking me to upgrade for $96 a year to continue the same service. If I already have a domain and a 5 year old wordpress site, is there any way for me to continue domain mapping or transfer my domain to WordPress without upgrading?

  Have you let the domain mapping expire? That standalone upgrade can continue for existing users as long as they renew promptly. Otherwise an upgraded plan (the Personal plan would do) is now a requirement. I have added the modlook tag to ask a member of staff to check your account and look at your options.

  Please let me know what domain was previously mapped to us. There aren’t any upgrades connected to this account. I’ll be able to look up the history once I know the domain in question.

  Domain Mapping is no longer available as a stand alone upgrade. A plan is required to connect a domain through mapping. If you are trying to set up the mapping on this account you would be prompted for a plan purchase since there’s not a history of a domain being mapped to is.
