Requirement for the invoice/invoice included tax ID number(VAT number)

    Dear Customer Support,
    We are about to make a payment for a WordPress.com premium plan (NT 2880/year) and we would like to have an official invoice that includes the tax ID number, as same as the VAT number, for the reimbursement claim.

    I check some invoice question on forum and seems like WordPress only provide VAT receipts(no invoices), and only provide to users who are properly listed in the VIES (VAT Information Exchange System) or the UK VAT database.

    Our company operates in Taiwan. Would you please tell me, if there have possible to get the VAT receipts? Or else WordPress has any solution for the company located in Asia?

    Hi there,

    You’re correct that we only provide VAT receipts for businesses registered in the VIES or the UK VAT database.

    We do not issue invoices, only receipts. That means you’ll get a receipt after you’ve completed the payment. However, note that you can edit the receipt to add any information you may need. Here are the steps (you can follow them after you’ve paid):

    * Go to https://wordpress.com/me and select “Manage Purchases” from the left side bar
    * Click on the “Billing record tab”
    * Click on “view receipt” for one of your purchases
    * Add your tax ID to the “Billing Details” section.
    * You can then click “Print receipt.”

    Please note: We are registered with the Taiwanese government so after you’ve successfully paid, you’ll receive an official eGUI invoice from the Taiwanese government. There might be a delay on when you get that from the government, but you will eventually get that.
