require(‘myblog’)

I am attempting to create a stripped down theme for my new wordpress blog so I can embed it into a larger site using php’s require command. This works, sorta. After the page is embedded, nothing else shows up. I thought I might have removed something critical when I stripped down a theme. There is a lot of documentation on this site, but I am not finding anything more than how to create a new template. My goal is to create this template, not only for this blog, but for future projects down the road, where I can embed WordPress into a larger site. Oh yeah, I got the blog installed to the root directory. I renamed the index.php to wordpress_index.php, and the page it is loaded into is another index.php file in the same root directory. Sorry for the rambling post, get’n tired. Thanks for the help.

You need to be at WordPress.org, not WordPress.com. As indicated in the Read Me Before Posting thread at the head of the forum, we’re running very different software here and won’t be able to give you useful advice.

If you host your own site, you should ask at the WordPress.org forum:

    http://wordpress.org/support/

Our blogs here at WordPress.com run under a different software.
