    I don’t know why word press automatically puts that email address in for me. The email I’m trying to resend from Gravatar is (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    Whatever. What a useless effort this has been. I submitted a new email address to Gravatar for my website at ILoveTwyla.com and it said if I want to resend it I have to do it from here and it linked me to here. Nothing anywhere here that says “here’s a link to resend your email from Gravatar.” Instead it brings me out here to do this long winded useless form submission

    What email are you referring to? Your account is several years old and has been verified all that time, and I don’t see any pending email change that needs to be confirmed.

    It’s also not necessary to verify additional email addresses you add to your Gravatar profile. Verification only applies to the primary email address that is also used for your WordPress.com account. You can view and edit all secondary emails in your Gravatar account here:

    I added an email accout to my Gravatar account, so that it would have a Gravatar icon/photo. It’s told me twice now that “An email has been sent to verify this email address”. It says that if I don’t get it, I will find a link to resend it here in the WOrdpress.com/help page. Well, it’s not here. If you go to http://iloveyoutwyla.com and look at the person (me) who has posted those blogs, there is no photo icon, just a blank gray name. I’m trying to get a custom Gravatar for that login. Thanks.

    In addition, it wrongly states that I don’t have to confirm email to use a Gravatar icon. Wrong. It won’t let me choose a Gravatar icon without confirming the new email address, and it won’t send me an email confirmation to do so: https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Gravatars

    This is what the page tells me when I add the new email to my Gravatar account:

    We sent you a confirmation email!

    We sent an email to (email visible only to moderators and staff) when you signed up for Gravatar.

    In this email you will find a link that, when clicked, will bring you back to a confirmation page. Once you’ve confirmed your email, you can start using Gravatar.

    If for some reason you did not receive the confirmation email, visit the WordPress.com help page where you can find a link to resend the confirmation email. If you are still having trouble, feel free to get in touch and we’ll do our best to get you sorted!

  • I’ve checked our logs for the email address you gave above, and we’ve sent two emails to that address in the past 24 hours, but both emails bounced back with the error, Recipient not found, which means we weren’t able to deliver to that address. This usually means the email address doesn’t exist, or it not configured correctly.

    Can you receive other emails at that address?

    I checked the DNS records for your domain, and you appear to be missing a CNAME record that’s needed for GoDaddy email to work:

    CNAME mail -> pop.secureserver.net.

    Can you please try adding that to your domain or ask GoDaddy support to help you with that? Then give it a few hours to update and try adding the new email again.
