I changed my username to start a new blog, I log in under it etc however, it’s not allowing me to start one. It says the site is closed?? I don’t know if its reserved to me or what….
-
But I didn’t delete it. I deleted my other blog and just wanted to start this one. So I still have the username and all but can’t do anything with it.

Yes, but you received multiple warnings before deleting.

(step 7) -
I deleted the alanawynne two weeks ago. Yesterday I went and changed the user name to what it is now to start a new blog. It asked to put in blog URL and name etc. told me it was valid and later when I went to go write, it wasn’t here.
-
This is very common, and is one of the reasons I don’t recommend this procedure. I always suggest to just start a new blog and make the old one private.
-
So what you’re saying is with me closing the one 2 weeks ago, it somehow tied itself to my new one and closed that too?
-
Unfortunately it appears that way. BOTH the blogs are deleted. You will have to pick a new URL.
If there’s a name you particularly want, it’s generally more than worth it to pay $18 and get a custom domain like whatever.com instead of whatever.wordpress.com.

You can’t. Only Staff can and they won’t because there is no personal safety or security issue. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wordpresscom-forums-code-of-conduct?replies=1
