  Hello. I am trying to set up a blog with the URL blackstemrose.wordpress.com however this URL is reserved and I have looked. It does not exist. Can this be fixed to the point that I can use it?

  Hi there,

  When we register a username account the matching blog URL is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username account.

  If and only if you have registered the matching username account log out, clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies. Then log in under the correct username account and as the blog is reserved for you and you will register it after logging in under the correct username account.

  However, if you changed your username then the blog URL will not be available for use under the new username account.

  Transfer of a the site to another username account provided that username account has first been added as an official user of the blog https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#adding-users-to-your-site with Admin status. https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator

  There is no expiration date on any on .wordpress.com blog urls unused, reserved or otherwise. Unless you can reach the owner of the site and have them transfer it to you, you have reached a dead end. Note that in these cases the blog’s owner rarely responds to comments or to contact information. And, Staff will not breach the privacy policy and provide you with an email address.

  I am not using a computer to do this. I am trying to use it through the app. I know that it’s my URL but it won’t let me use it.

  Hi,

  I am not using a computer to do this. I am trying to use it through the app.

  Can you try setting up blackstemrose.wordpress.com in a browser on a computer for me? I want to see if there could be an issue with the app, or whether you have the same problem in a browser too.

  I used the chrome browser on my tablet to set up the site. It would not work with the default browser nor the app. On the app it kept saying it was reserved, which it was for me and on the default browser the selection options were misaligned making it impossible to get passed the 3rd step.
