reserved blog address

  Hi,

  I accidentally closed the tabs while I was creating a blog. Now, it says that the domain is reserved. Is there any way to correct it?
  The email address I used is (email visible only to moderators and staff) and
  the blog domain which I tried to create was hopefordonghaepaws.wordpress.com

  Note this username account that matches the URL https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/hopefordonghaepaws

  You must be logged in under the correct username account.

  When we register a username account the matching blog is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username account.

  If you own the username account then you can log out, clear your browser cache and cookies and then log in as Admin under the correct matching username account and register the blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/ If you don’t own that username account then you cannot register the reserved blog.

  Dear Timethief,
  Thanks for the explanation. I am very confused, but I guess that I once changed my username as hopefordonghaepaws, but I subsequently changed to other names. Now even though I try to recover that username(hopefordonghaepaws), the site says that it is reserved.

  Is there any way to recover the username of hopefordonghaepaws?

  I’d like to look into this for you. It looks like you created the username hopefordonghaepaws and then changed it to a different username (twice), which is preventing you from now creating the hopefordonghaepaws.wordpress.com site under that account.

  That is not the same username you are using to contact us now, though, so please post in this thread from the other username that started out as hopefordonghaepaws, so I can verify that you were the one to create that account initially.

  Dear jackiedana,

  That is exactly what happened. I am very sorry for the mess. I am still learning how to use wordpress.

  The current username is chrisyun276 and I used this account to create the username “hopefordonghaepaws”. Dhpaws is another account/username that I created while I tried to fix the issue.
  Please verify with the “chrisyun276” account so I can change that “chrisyun276” to “hopefordonghaepaws” username and create a blog under hopefordonghaepaws.

  We don’t currently have a way to recover a site address if the site isn’t claimed before a username change. Our developers are discussing ways to make this possible, and I will let you know if I have a solution to this for you.

  In the meantime, I would recommend setting up your site at a different address, and possibly using a custom domain as well.
