    I’d like to use a certain .wordpress.com domain, but it says that domain is reserved. There’s no evidence it’s actually being used, so is there a way I could use it?

    Hi there!

    It’s not possible to use a reserved WordPress.com address. A WordPress.com address is often reserved because someone else owns the username. Could you share the address you want to use? We can check and confirm for you.

    Note that you can register a custom domain on a WordPress.com site and set it primary. That way, the WordPress.com address won’t matter much since your visitors will see the custom domain on your site. If you’re building a personal site, you can choose the WordPress.com Personal plan, which gives you first year’s domain registration free if you choose the yearly billing option.
