reserved domain name?

    Hi! So I was in the process of trying to change my domain name and then left the page – I went back to finish and it said that the domain name that I wanted was taken. I’m in a bind because I never received confirmation for that domain name which was ontheboundblog.wordpress.com

    I would really appreciate some help getting that name available again so that I can change it! Thank you for your help!

    Hi there,

    ontheboundblog.wordpress.com was created and then deleted almost a year ago by a completely different username, so it’s not possible that you’d have been able to change to that address. Deleted addresses don’t get recycled before at least two years after deletion, so it’s still more than a year before that address could potentially be used again. There is no way I can restore that URL for you, as you were not the original owner.

    Could you perhaps have been trying to change to something that is spelled almost the same?
