"reserved" name and address
-
My name is “reserved” for a wordpress blog. I had used it to create a business blog, then changed the username and address, and now I can’t use those names for my personal blog.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Usernames are never “reserved” only the blogs matching usernames are reserved. When we register a username account the matching blog is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username account.
Blog names are the same as usernames for the most part. Usernames can be turned into blog names, but blog names cannot be turned into usernames.

changed the username and address
This is clearly stated in support documentation:
Once you change your username you will not be able to change it back and the old name will not be available for you or anyone to use. http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/

7. The final option presented on this screen allows you to discard your current address. This option will permanently disable the address and you will not be able to reuse it. Only select this option if you are sure you will not use the address again. http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

So in other words because I used my name, derekrooks, to set up a business blog, then went in and switched it, the address and username “derekrooks” can never be used again by anyone? Just want to make sure I have this information correct. I was under the assumption that the name would be released, which is why I switched it in the first place.

Yes.

That’s not possible here.
