Reserved sites

  I am looking at changing my blog url to frankjjimenez.wordpress.com but it is not possible due to the site is reserved.

  Is there a way to speak to the person who has reserved it or, if there hasn’t been in use in a long time, be given to me?

  I am extremely keen on getting that name for professional reasons.

  Hi there. There is no way that WordPress.com will transfer that site to you, no matter how long it has been inactive. You can see the applicable policy here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  Staff also cannot provide you with the contact details for that site’s owner, so your only option is to leave a comment asking if they would transfer that site to you and hope that user has comment notifications enabled.

  Alternatively, consider registering the domain you want as a custom domain instead: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
