Reserved subdomain name
-
Hello! I recently tried to create new blog using your service, however I cannot pick the name since, if I try, I receive following message:
‘The address servusveritatis.wordpress.com cannot be registered. Sorry, that site is reserved!’
I’d probably go for another, however Servus Veritatis is the name I have been using for some time now in my Facebook page (one I now wish to expand here as well), and keeping the name would certainly be helpful. So, my question is – is there any way to ‘unreserve’ the name that (apparently) isn’t being used by original owner?
Thank you for your time.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello!
Take a look at this post: https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
Once a blog has been deleted, its related address is no longer available to use under any circumstance. Just to quote:
Addresses (URLs) for blogs that have been deleted by the owner will remain deleted. We cannot, under any circumstances, allow someone to take over the address of a blog that was owned and deleted by its original/previous owner.
If it’s possible to use a new, original address for your blog, or a small variation on the name you were going to use, that’s probably the best option. Hope that helps :)

Thank you for your swift response. Not the one I’ve been hoping for, but well… I guess not everything can be perfect :D So, thank you once more!

That response above is incorrect. The site has not been deleted.https://servusveritatis.wordpress.com doesn’t exist
The address servusveritatis.wordpress.com cannot be registered. Sorry, that site is reserved! When we register a username account the matching blog is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username account.
In this case that matching username account is https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/servusveritatis
If you own the username account then you can log out, clear your browser cache and cookies
https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies
Then log in as Admin under the correct matching username account and register the blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/If you do not own that account, or if you did an then changed it, then you can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.
