  I am told the domain I want is reserved.

  I intend to purchase the domain (.com) and would prefer to have the matching wordpress domain. Is there any possibility of it becoming/being made available?

  Hi,

  search for the registrar of the domain you want using

  whois

  . Then write to the registrar regarding your intend of purchase. They are the only ones who can help you out.

  Hi there,

  WordPress.com addresses are automatically reserved for the account that has the matching username. We don’t reassign reserved addresses to another account under any circumstances, so if the WordPress.com address you want is reserved, you won’t be able to use it.

  If you use a custom domain the underlying WordPress.com address is not visible at all, so there’s no need to have those two be the same.
