reset

This is an incorrect address. This does not reset the password — it sends me back to the page that says: reset your password.

  • Hi there,

The forum you’re posting in now is for the hosting provider, WordPress.com, but your site is not hosted with us, so we’re not able to help in this case. We didn’t send that password reset email, but instead it was sent directly from your site itself.

The password for your admin account for that site is stored in your site’s database on your hosting provider’s servers, so contacting them directly is your best bet for getting help with this – many hosts offer a way for you to reset this directly via your hosting control panel.

Otherwise you can see the password reset instructions for your version of WordPress at https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/ for other methods, like changing the password directly in the database.

For more help with this, you can also ask the WordPress.org community for advice at https://wordpress.org/support/forums, though I recommend you try your hosting provider first.
