Reset password to previously used password

Hello – we inadvertently changed our password and now want to change it back to the original password. WordPress is giving an error and will not allow it. It is important that we have the original password since multiple users access the blog. Please advise on how to make this happen.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m not sure, but I don’t think they allow you to change it back to the same password as before. I think this is a security measure.

I’ll tag this for staff attention for clarification.

    Hi there,

thesacredpath is correct: we do not allow you to reuse a recent password.

For security reasons, we strongly recommend that each user on your blog should have their own user account. Please keep in mind that from time to time we may have to reset passwords for security reasons, and having individual user accounts makes this easy to manage.

This page explains the different user roles and how to add and manage users on your site: http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

If you choose to have everyone use a single username and password contrary to our recommendations, you will need to make sure everyone has that information.
