reset password, update website

  We haven’t been able to login to our admin account and we haven’t been able to update our website either. We need help with both. Thank you. Somebody please help us!

  On what site are you working? The account you’re using to post here does not own any sites on WordPress.com.

  If you’re using the open source WordPress software at another host, please ask for help at https://wordpress.org/support/forums instead.

  thank you for responding. I will check with our monthly bill.
  Our website is http://www.bovedentistry.com
  I did log in last year with the user name and password we have on file. Why it would not work now … it’s a mystery … thanks for any help you may extend to us.

  this is a self-hosted copy of WordPress through another provider. It’s quite different from a site that is on our servers.

  And since your site is not here on our servers, we don’t have access to help you regain access. But I may be able to point you in the right direction.

  First contact your host to be sure you have backups and can access the hosting side of your site, then read all of these these instructions from WordPress.org to determine which method you want to use to regain access to your installation:

  As long as you can log into your host, you should be able to regain access. If you need more help, head to to the forums for self-hosted sites at https://wordpress.org/support
