Reset share button stats?

  When share buttons were first introduced, I read there was a problem that caused their totals on the stats page to be incorrect. (I had 72 fictitious shares the moment I added the buttons.) Is there a way to reset or restart those stats? There’s no way to distinguish genuine, recent shares from the 72 “ghost shares” I started with.
