    Hello,

I made the mistake of changing something in a theme and then testing out other themes. Content keeps getting dragged over to the new theme and im losing many elements of the theme’s data.

I was wondering if I could reset and delete all content so I can start from scratch. Help!

    Website is:

    Thank you!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Inside your site settings, there’s such a possibility at the very bottom, called “start over”. Just follow the steps, and your content should be completely removed.

There is no such thing as a theme reset button. We just undo whatever we did.

You must be logged in under the username account that registered the site first. Then to empty the site and keep the URL you have two options:
    (1) Doing this quickly and easily yourself
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/
    (2) Waiting in a queue and having Staff do it for you.

If you have a lot of content Staff can empty the whole blog for you. That will remove all data including posts, pages, tags, categories, comments, and uploaded files and once deleted, the data cannot be recovered.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blogs and/or blog content does not remove indexed content from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results after it produces a 404 (page not found):

If you are sure you want Staff to proceed, and you are prepared to wait then type modlook into the tags in the sidebar of this thread for Staff attention, and post here again to:
    (1) confirm the URL of the blog(s) you want them to empty;
    (2) confirm that you know content deletion is irreversible.

    Hi walnutcleaners,

As timethief mentioned, you can empty your site of content using these instructions:

Empty Your Site to Start Fresh

Content keeps getting dragged over to the new theme and im losing many elements of the theme’s data.

When you change a theme, nearly everything comes with you. Your posts, pages, media, blogroll and all of your content stay with you. Afterward switching theme you will need to reassign your custom menu and widgets

Let me know how you get on.

    Thanks!

  • There is also a tool called Headstart that I can run manually to make your site look more like the Ixion demo.

Since I don’t see much, if any, original content on your site, I would recommend that I run the tool and clear out all existing data (posts, pages, media, etc.) first, an action that can’t be undone.

Would you like me to go ahead and run the tool on walnutcleaners.wordpress.com, deleting all the existing content first?
