Reset theme without plugin

    Hi,I want to create a Free wordpress website (like I had previously) but I am unable to reset my theme (Orvis) – as you only allow the reset plugin to be added to paid options. Can I just ‘Add new Website’ and proceed?

    Hi there,

    Our support page can assist you with resetting the site by emptying of its content.
    If you have tons of content on your blog, we can do it for you, but you can accomplish clearing your site fairly easily with bulk actions whenever you’re ready.

    Are you wanting your theme reverted to its original layout as well? If so, I can go ahead and empty the site and reset the theme for you.

    Hi there

    I had everything working as I wanted on my site, now when I clicked on “Visit Site” my homepage shows all messed up. I’ve taken a screenshot to show my problem.
    Although I’m sure you can see from your side :)

    I just want to add, the website is showing perfectly on my mobile so I think perhaps my desktop computer & browser are too old.

    I think it’s my browser (Safari) have changed Google Chrome and it seems to be fine now.

    Can I add a Share button to individual posts and pages besides the Home page, on my website? For example if I want to share just a blog?

    Hi there,

    You can go to customize your blog’s sharing options at My Site(s) → Tools → Marketing and customize how the buttons behave and look and where they appear with the settings in the bottom half of the page:

    Hi, Good Morning

    I’ve done as instructed but still can’t get the sharing buttons to show on the other pages or on posts, they only show on the Home page…. despite having checked all the buttons in the Options section. I’ve uploaded the screen shot of my settings to my Media so that you can see.

    You need to enable shares on individual posts and pages. Open a post in the editor, click on the green Jetpack icon in the top right and then check the Show Sharing Buttons option. Here’s a screenshot:

    Thank you, that has solved my problem on the pages and posts.. but on individual images in my gallery, it seems only Pinterest is shareable?

    If you’re referring to the Pinterest button that appears if you hover your mouse over an image, that a feature specific to Pinterest, yes. Other social media services don’t offer such a button that we can display on images themselves.

    Hi jacquelinegeng,

    First, you’ll want to make sure Media is selected in My Site > Marketing > Sharing Buttons > Options.

    In my testing, sharing buttons are displayed under individual images when “Attachment page” is select in “Tiled Gallery Settings” (which should appear you’ve selected the gallery in the editor). If you click on a gallery image afterwards, sharing buttons should be displayed at the bottom.

    Selecting “Media” links to the file URL, so no sharing buttons are displayed in that instance.
