Resetting Themes
-
Say you’ve been clicking around and trying on different themes and slightly customizing them to see if they’ll work for you – you settle on one you want to use but you’ve already started to customize it and can’t get the original theme structure to load so you can start over with it.
Is there a way to reset the themes so you’re able to load the whole demo site onto to yours to start customizing all over again?
They all keep auto-loading from the last spot I was messing around with them instead of asking if I want to load my own websites content or use theirs.

Hello there,
There’s no way to reset the theme per say, but we can certainly help with that.
What is the name of the theme you’re looking to use exactly?
-
Hi! Thank you so much for your response!
The theme I’m looking to use is the ‘Balasana’ theme.
-
Hi there, you should be able to do that by following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/themes/add-demo-content/
If that doesn’t work out for you though, please let us know and we can take care of it!

Hi! Thank you so much for responding again!
I went through the link provided and it wasn’t able to help resolve the issue.
When I activate the Balasana Theme it still loads where I last was tinkering around with it. I am looking to reload the original demo content to start over customizing it/editing it.

We are able to add demo content on our end, but it is destructive (any current content you have well be lost permanently) so can you confirm that you will not need any of the pages, blog post, or uploaded media you have currently?
There is no “undo” if we proceed, so thank you for confirming.

I am confirming that I don’t need any of the pages, posts or any uploaded media that is currently there.
Thank you so much for helping with this!

I have reset your site to the demo content as requested.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!
