If you are the one who registered the site here on WordPressdotcom, you’ll need to transfer ownership of the site to one of the other WordPressdotcom accounts on that site first. Here’s how you do that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
Transferring ownership should remove you from that site. I believe that if you wish to continue in a different role on that site, the new site owner will need to re-add you. I’ve tagged this for Staff confirmation as well.

Hi there,
The information @justjennifer gave is spot-on. You’ll need to transfer the site to another user on the account so they become the new owner. That is the only way to remove you as a user on the site.

@kokkieh- thanks! Just to clarify, if they wish to continue in a different user role on the same site, then the new site owner/admin needs to invite them back?

Thank you so very very much for you suggestions! Thanks for your link, I’ve successfully transferred the blog to another users! Again, thanks so much!

That is correct, yes. @beyondspoken, if you still need access to that site, the new owner will need to invite you to access it again.
