Hi,
I canceled by subscription and domain name that I created yesterday, I got a refund for the subscription but not the domain name (15€) ?
When will I get the refund?
Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
As you can see from your Billing page you have been issued a full refund:
https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing
Please note that you have used a discount coupon to purchase the plan and that’s why you’re seeing that refund.
Refunds usually take about 10 business days to appear in your account, but it depends on the processing times at your bank. It can also take longer if you are with a non-US bank.

Great thank you !
I have another question, I would like to use the domain name I created but it is currently “parked”, how can I take property of it again??
Many thanks

I have emailed you a payment request so that I can restore your domain. When the domain is back online you can either keep it with us or transfer it elsewhere.

Thanks, but I just want the domain name to be available so i can purchase it from another company in my country. And then take a wordpress subscription to use it. Possible?

Good Morning –
I can see that chromafly.fr was registered and cancelled on the same day. Typically, when that happens, it takes about 5 business days for the domain to get released and eligible to be registered somewhere else.
Our primary concern is to prevent you from losing the domain. If you aren’t able to register the domain as new, on another service in the next few days, I’d suggest paying for us to restore the domain.
You can point it to the desired provider through name server or DNS changes:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/Once the domain is 60 days old, you can then transfer it to the desired registrar.

5 business days have past. How long do i need to wait for it to be freed? I’m not buying it back from here.

Overall, we don’t have much control over when a domain is released to the public, just over when we no longer have it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/#domain-released
Domain availability is controlled entirely by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the group that controls all domain registrars.

When I go to my url, “wordpress.com” is featured…So right now you have full control of it … It is not released to the public as I cant purchase it from elsewhere right now.
Please set it free
-
We do of course have full control over https://chromafly.wordpress.com/ since we own https://wordpress.com/
We do not have control at this point over the state of
chromafly.fr -
I understand that, but why do I get a WordPress landing page when I follow this url?
Also I cant buy this domain from elsewhere…So you have control over it right now !?

Hi there,
I understand that, but why do I get a WordPress landing page when I follow this url?
Because the site is a hosted on WordPress.com with a WordPress.com URL.
Also I cant buy this domain from elsewhere…So you have control over it right now !?
The release of when the domain goes back to the public, however, is not controlled by WordPress.com. As staff-blorbo says, when that release occurs is up to ICANN ultimately.
You canceled the domain within 5 days of registering it, so it should be available again soon. Once a domain name is deleted by the registry at this stage, it is immediately available for registration by any registrant through any Registrar, and that happens shortly after the 5 day grace period.
Thanks,

Hi,
The domain is still parked at WordPress…
ICANN has nothing to do with this right know and this is getting ridiculous.
I’m waiting to secure my domain in order to start my WordPress suscription.
Please release it.
Thanks.

Hi,
as we mentioned previously, we do not have control over the domain anymore and so we have no way to speed up the process of it being released.
-
-
The domain is being directed to us, because that’s what it was doing before it was canceled, but we no longer have control over the domain itself.
Similarly, you could have a domain registered here, and directed to Example Hosting Provider, but Example Hosting Provider wouldn’t have any control over the domain.
