Resize extended "reply section" field widths for mobile media

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

    What is the correct syntax to correct the extended field widths on the “Leave a Reply” section using Expound? I purchased the customized version and the name, email, and website field lengths break in the mobile view.

    My blogsite is http://blissinaction.wordpress.com/about/contact/.

    Thank you so much in advance for your assistance.

    Kind regards,

    Michelle

    Hi Michelle,
    I would try to change the respond ID and add a relative percentage width instead of a hard fixed width. I hope this helps.

    #respond {
    font-weight: normal;
    color: inherit;
    padding: 0;
    margin: 0 0 15px 0;
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Tahoma, Verdana, sans-serif;
    clear: both;
    padding: 15px 0;
    background: none;
    border: none;
    float: none;
    width: 80%;
    overflow: hidden;

    Thank you, Cousett.

    The logic worked with the overflow: hidden and width: 80%. However, the box outlines for the reply fields are incomplete. I assume that is what hidden means? Is there anyway to display the reply fields with the entire border closure or do I have to use overflow: scroll to view the complete display?

    Thank you once again for your insight.

    Regards,

    Michelle

    Michelle, adjust the width down a little and see what happens. It looks to me like it is only off by a percentage or two.

    Thank you, ScaredPath. I think I got it sorted out. My iphone (5s) wasn’t refreshing the screen as well. I hope it looks okay from other mobile phones. It looks great on my laptop and ipad so thumbs up.

    Thanks again for your and Cousett’s assistance.

    Regards,

    Michelle
