Resize image in post while keeping original dimensions
-
How do I resize an image to display in post without changing the image’s default size? I want to display a photo in my post, but medium size of 300 pixels is too large for the theme I use, and thumbnail of 150 is too small. 210-240 width is generally the best size. I used to embed at medium and reduce to 70 or 80%. If I resize post photo in editing, the actual photo is resized. I don’t want that. I want people to see the original image size when they click on the image. Help please!

Yes, you can do that. When you are going to insert an image, you will go to Insert Media page. Select your image which going to be inserted, and above Insert into Post button, they are configuration to image.
See Attachment Display Settings and set Link To ‘Media File’.

I insert images from a URL. When I go to the insert Media page, and select “insert from URL”, there are no buttons that I can find to resize the image. What am I missing?
