Resizing Articles
-
How do you resize articles so they are not displayed completely one after another on the homepage. When they are in a summary for there is something to click like continue reading…This is helpful becuase I may read the summary first before I decide which article to read if I were the reader.
Then it shows you the full article. Is there a way to do this with word press?
It is similar to http://www.urbanmonk.net . Notice they are summaries, then you decide to open up the article.

Oh one more thing is there any way to put excerpts without having a specific theme.. Many themes don’t let you use excerpts, or are there specific ones?

As far as I know we can use the “read more” tag in all the themes we find here -> Appearance -> Themes

Yes the “read more” tag can be used in all themes.
There is also the option of pagination:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/nextpage/Excerpts are a bit different, and they work in only some themes. Excerpts mean that you can customize what your readers will see in category or archives pages (in a few themes, excerpts can work even in main posts), and RSS.
