Resizing blog to accomodate sidebar
-
Hi all,
I have a photo blog and I tweaked ChaoticSoul in order for it to mirror the design of my own website. Well, it looks like my limited css skills got the better of me. Everything was hunky dory until I decided to make the blog wider to accommodate larger images. Everything looked good in Safari but Firefox seems to cut off the images. I solved that problem but now my sidebar is at the bottom of my page in both browsers. Would anyone be willing to have a quick glance at my css and figure out what margins I need to fix? I can’t figure it out.
Thanks!

Perhaps your problem is the size of the blogging space. http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/09/25/how-big-can-my-images-be/
Chaotic Soul 480 pixels maximum.
The blog has many very large images on the front page. When images are too large for the blogging space they break the lay out and the sidebar falls to the bottom.
Also all images ought to optimized and pre-sized previous to uploading them. http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/08/optimise-your-images/
Lastly the number of posts on the front page can be reduced to make loading time faster. -> Options -> Reading
scroll down to
Blog Pages
Show at most: ____posts
reduce the number of posts on the front page and click “Update Options” to save.
