Resizing Facebook Like Box Widget

  • Unknown's avatar

    I wanted to add a Facebook Like Button to my wordpress.com blog sidebar but since I can’t add plugins, I have been trying to use the Facebook Like Box Widget instead. I don’t want to see faces, so I turned that aspect off. The problem is that there is a large gap between the FB widget and the widget below it that I have been trying to erase. I’ve tried resizing the FB Like Box height in the widget from 110px to 75px but it keeps defaulting back to 110px. Is there any way to change this height, or does anyone know how to change the sidebar spacing in the CSS?

    Hey there,

    This should do the trick:
    #facebook-likebox-2
    {
    margin-bottom: -30px;
    padding-bottom: 0px;
    }

    If you have any more CSS questions, this CSS tutorial is a great resource.

    I’ve also gone ahead and moved this topic to the CSS Customization forum. This is a good place to ask any additional CSS questions you have.

    Best,
